The Wake Up Call We All Need

What are your circumstances today? Are you happy? Sad? Angry? Feeling empty? Maybe you’re having the time of your life. Or maybe… you’re just getting by.

Now take a step back—what’s your purpose in life? Where will you be in ten years? Are you living your best life—or are you slowly losing it? Facing the reality of death?

These questions may feel heavy, but they matter. Because how you respond to your current circumstances will shape your future.

So ask yourself:

What will I do with the circumstances I’m in? What decisions am I making because of them? Are my choices leading to a life that’s sustainable?

Yes, these are deep questions—but the wisest people I know regularly ask them. Wisdom begins with self-examination. Wise people ask the hard questions. They face what others avoid.

King Solomon once said, “The teaching of a wise person gives life. It is like a fountain that can save people from death.” (Proverbs 13:14 NCV)

That’s the truth.

So—where are you lacking? What needs cleaning up? What sin do you need to stop? What do you need to confess, repent of, and seek forgiveness for?

And most importantly—where are you getting your wisdom from? We’re not short on information.

The Bible. Godly mentors. Solid books. Even AI can provide insight. There are endless sources of truth and wisdom. But without action? None of it matters.

If we don’t apply what we know, that fountain of life Solomon talked about becomes a dried-up well.

Some are literally dying. Some are emotionally spiraling. Some are just drifting—bored, empty, and purposeless.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can draw a line in the sand. You can write “start” today. You can finish well.

It’s possible. And it can begin right now.

Let’s pray about it:

GOD, JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT—help. Help me. Help us. Help us be honest with ourselves. Help us long for what is right and Godly. Kill our desire for sin and lazy living. Give us the courage to change, grow, and do the hard work of transformation. Help us face reality—and give us the strength to finish well. Please. IJNIP amen ♥️
