What Does God Tell You?

How does God communicate to you? Do you communicate to God? I heard once, if you want to hear from God, read your Bible. If you want speak to God, pray.

So true.

Most of what we need in life is in the Bible, however sometimes, it’s just not clear. I counsel many who claim they love God, but they are not following his commands. That’s not the best way to love God.

There are many voices out there to listen to and follow. What voices do you listen to? Do you study the Bible? Is there a deep desire to do as the Bible instructs you?

It’s so satisfying to follow God’s word.

Once there as a king named Ahab. He wanted to fight his enemy. So he asked his hired prophets should he go into battle. They said yes, you will win.

However a real prophet of the Lord, Micaiah was also asked. “The messenger who had gone to get Micaiah said to him, “All the other prophets are saying King Ahab will succeed. You should agree with them and give the king a good answer.” (I Kings 22:13 NCV)

“But Micaiah answered, “As surely as the Lord lives, I can tell him only what the Lord tells me.” (1 Kings‬ ‭22‬:‭14‬ ‭NCV‬‬)

Micaiah told King Ahab not to fight. He would be killed.

In conclusion the King dressed in common war attire so no one would recognize him as king.

“By chance, a soldier shot an arrow, but he hit Ahab king of Israel between the pieces of his armor. King Ahab said to his chariot driver, “Turn around and get me out of the battle, because I am hurt!” (1 Kings‬ ‭22‬:‭34‬ ‭NCV‬‬)

He died.

All we can do is all we can do and all we can do is enough. Are you doing all you can do in learning about God, his ways, and most importantly his love?

Do you love and serve like Christ? Do you pray and help others with generosity and kindness. Do you forgive others and truly love them? These are key elements of God’s word. To honor him and love others.

LORD, help us learn. Help us love. Help us forgive others as you have loved and forgiven us in Jesus Christ. May we only speak the words you give us and live the life you teach us. May we always ask and trust you. IJNIP amen ♥️
